Bookkeeper ChapChap Limited · Last updated: 2026

These Terms are an agreement between Bookkeeper ChapChap Limited ("Chapchap", "we" or "us") and the person or business using Bookkeeper ChapChap ("you"). By creating an account, tapping Accept or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act for your business.

1. Our service

Bookkeeper ChapChap helps you record sales, purchases, expenses, stock, cash flow, customers and suppliers, and generate business reports. Features may vary by plan or location.

Bookkeeper ChapChap is a bookkeeping tool. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal, investment or financial advice. You remain responsible for your business decisions, tax filings, statutory records and compliance.

2. Your account

Provide correct information and keep your password, PIN, device and verification codes secure. You are responsible for activity by you and anyone you allow to use your account. Notify us immediately at bkchapchap@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Fees and renewal

The fees, billing period and features of your plan will be shown before payment. Fees are normally paid in advance and may include applicable taxes or transaction charges.

Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase. We will give reasonable notice before changing prices.

4. Proper use

You may use Bookkeeper ChapChap only for lawful business purposes. You must not:

  • copy, resell or misuse the service;
  • interfere with its security or operation;
  • upload illegal, harmful or misleading information;
  • access another user's account or data without permission; or
  • use our confidential information to build a competing product.

5. Your data

You own the information you enter into Chapchap. You give us permission to store, process, back up and transmit it only as needed to provide, secure and improve the service, comply with the law and enforce these Terms.

You are responsible for ensuring your data is accurate, lawful and properly authorized. Keep separate copies of important business and statutory records. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

6. Reports and accuracy

Reports and profit, cash-flow or stock figures depend on the information you enter and may contain errors, delays or estimates. Check them against receipts, invoices, stock counts, bank statements and mobile-money records before relying on them. Chapchap does not guarantee profit, savings, financing or tax compliance.

7. Security and availability

We use reasonable measures to protect the service and your data, but no online system is completely secure. Bookkeeper ChapChap may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, internet problems, third-party failures or events beyond our control. We may improve, replace or discontinue features and will give reasonable notice if a major paid feature is materially affected.

8. Third-party services

Bookkeeper ChapChap may connect to banks, mobile-money services, app stores, payment providers or other services. Those providers have their own terms, charges and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their acts, failures or availability, except where the law says otherwise.

9. Suspension and cancellation

We may suspend or close an account for non-payment, fraud, unlawful use, security risks or serious breach of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to correct the problem.

You may cancel at any time. After cancellation or termination, you will have 30 days to export your data in an available format, unless the law or unlawful activity prevents access. We may then delete it, subject to legal and backup requirements.

10. Ownership and liability

Bookkeeper ChapChap and its software, name, designs and content belong to us or our licensors. Your data remains yours.

We will provide the service with reasonable skill and care. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Chapchap is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or losses caused by incorrect data, business decisions, internet failure or third-party services.

Our total liability will not exceed the fees you paid for Chapchap during the 1 month or 12 months before the claim. This limit does not apply to fraud, deliberate misconduct, personal injury, breach of confidentiality or any liability that cannot legally be limited. Your legal consumer rights remain protected.

11. Changes and disputes

We may update these Terms when the service, law or our operations change. We will notify you of important changes. If you do not agree, you may cancel before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If a dispute arises, both parties will first try to resolve it in good faith within 30 days. If this fails, the dispute may be taken to the courts of Kenya, subject to any rights provided by law.
